Country Profile:
The Gambia
The Gambia is perched upon the coast of West Africa. Surrounded on three sides by Senegal and with the Atlantic Ocean to the west, The Gambia is the smallest country on the African continent. Though what it lacks in size it makes up for in culture and character.

Experience:
A Taste of The Gambia
I booked to visit The Gambia on a whim. Admittedly, I knew nothing about this West African country but was excited to dip my toes in this part of the world. I arranged to stay for several nights in an eco-lodge on the outskirts of one of the country’s coastal towns and explored the west of the country via a self-drive adventure. It really felt like driving off into the unknown. Unexpected surprises lay around every corner.
I have written in-depth blog posts about my experience self-driving round western Gambia. You can view a full list of blog posts about this trip here.
