Country Profile:
Seychelles
Seychelles is a group of 115 islands, located in the Indian Ocean, just east of Somalia in eastern Africa. Majority of islands in this island chain are uninhabited, many being nature reserves. The central islands in Seychelles are known as the Granatic Islands, named after their composition of large granite boulders which can be found throughout the islands. These are also the most popular islands to visit.

Exploring Mahé Island, Seychelles
Mahé is the largest island in the Seychelles and the only which houses an international airport. It has a rugged, jungle interior with large mountains protruding out from the centre. The coastlines are dominated with gorgeous white-sand beaches, fringed by turquoise waters. I visited Mahé for several weeks with the aim of exploring all that this unique island has to offer.
I have written in-depth blog posts about my experience self-driving round Mahé island. You can view a full list of blog posts about this trip here.
